Buzz By Jane Fox Handbags Company History.

Derived from the names of its co-founders, Buzz by Jane Fox was created in 1998 by Alicia Fox and Jane Schoenborn. Alicia and Jane met in 1991, on their first day of school at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. After graduation, Alicia and Jane took separate career paths, but always remained friends. Over the years, Alicia went back to school for interior design and opened her own firm. Jane gained experience in the public relations field at Adrienne Vittadini, Calvin Klein and Barneys New York.

It was at Barneys New York that Jane came up with the idea to design handbags. "Working at Barneys, I was able to see the ins and outs of the accessories world first hand. I searched for an upscale, preppy bag line, but just couldn't find anything. So I called Alicia and we created Buzz by Jane Fox."

Alicia and Jane created only two styles their first season: the Georgica Beach Bag and the Joyce Tennis bag. "We wanted to create a line that was very preppy, very pink and very green. Although we had no idea how to get the line produced, we knew exactly what we wanted it to look like," says Alicia. The creative talent of these handbag designers is constantly growing in leaps and bounds.

Today, Buzz by Jane Fox is synonymous with whimsical colors, quirky shapes, original prints and of course, its signature bumble bee logo.
