Ombu Handbags was started in the Spring of 2003 with a few things in mind. The designers wanted to make quality, fashion forward women's handbags that were accessible in price and style to the women they knew. That meant that they would reflect modern lifestyles, attitudes and aspirations.

While Ombu is based in suburban New York City, they hand-finish all of the products in their workshops in Buenos Aires, Argentina, a city renowned for its leather-making legacy and decidedly fashion-forward spirit.
